At the start of November, we held our 2019 Gala Dinner to celebrate with our supporters and raise funds to enable us to enrol thousands more children into school. 

The dinner took place at The Sheraton Grand in London, and over 340 guests joined us for an incredible evening of food, entertainment and fundraising. The event raised over £450,000 which will be used to support our education programmes across Nepal, Myanmar and Cambodia in 2020 and beyond. 

We were honoured to hear from Nan Sitha, UWS Cambodia Director, who spoke about his experience leading our education programmes in Cambodia over the past 10 years. Ellie Wilson also spoke about her time volunteering with us in Cambodia and shared the stories of the families she met whose lives have been changed by education. James Knight, Managing Director of Bonhams auction house, hosted our live auction with a range of fantastic prizes on offer. We also premiered our latest video, Our Global Children, showcasing the different lives of children around the world. 

We are hugely grateful to everyone who attended and supported the event, including table hosts, guests and all those who donated prizes for our live and silent auctions.
